Pretty Is As Pretty Does
Recovered emotional and binge eater Sami Snow offers her experience in overcoming the powerful voice in her head to go eat some more. Her weight loss journey unknowingly turned into a self love journey and setting standards for the way she lives her life. Healing her relationship with food and progressing her fitness goals in the gym have increased her self confidence, as she started doing the things she said she would do. Showing up for herself and keeping her commitments allows her to become the woman she's always wanted to be. What she didn't realize on all the other weight loss journeys, is that you have to change your mindset-and the habits you create are ones you'll want to enjoy as you're creating them for the sustainable future. Leaving behind the bloating, bingeing, shame, guilt, and sickness she felt in her own body; she is now enjoying the body she is in while expressing gratitude for all that her body allows her to do for herself. Since she has discovered how GOOD she can feel in her own skin, she wants to empower other women to do the same.

Episode 90: Told My Coach I Was Afraid to Binge Again… Here’s What Happened!
In this powerful and honest episode, Sami Snow gets real about the check-in that shook her—sharing the moment her coach gave her some much-needed tough love and why it was exactly what she needed. With full transparency, Sami walks listeners through the highs and lows of her current fitness journey, including missing a lift, going off plan, and still coming back stronger.
She opens up about her decision to hire a coach and the non-negotiable boundary she set from the start: protecting her relationship with food after three years of being binge-free. Listeners will hear how her coach honored that by taking a slow, intentional approach—focusing first on data, maintenance, and emotional readiness before entering a calorie deficit.
Now, five weeks into her deficit, Sami celebrates real wins: 70+ days of macro tracking, hitting her steps, consistent lifts, a new low on the scale, and most importantly—staying binge-free.
She also shares a joyful behind-the-scenes moment from her day creating gym content with her girls Susan and Lexi—proof that growth, sisterhood, and confidence can coexist with discipline.
This episode is about more than fat loss—it’s about self-respect, accountability, and becoming the woman you’ve always wanted to be.
Perfect for anyone on a journey toward healing, structure, and personal power.

Hey Pretty Gang. 💕 Welcome back to Pretty Is as Pretty Does.
This is Episode 90—can we just take a second to let that sink in?
Ninety episodes.
Thirty-eight countries.
One amazing community.
You. Me. Us—healing, growing, and becoming together. Thank you for being here, for listening, for sending me DMs and reposting episodes. You’re the reason this podcast has turned into a global girl gang, and I’m honored to be on this journey with you.
And y’all—today has been such an incredible day. I met up with my girls Susan and Lexi at the gym, and we created content together—videos, pictures, props, angles, you name it. We all hyped each other up, captured content for our own audiences, and honestly… it was just fun.
That’s the energy I’m here for. Women supporting women, taking up space, and creating the lives we’re proud of—in and out of the gym. We laughed, we posed, we sweated, and we walked away feeling confident AF. That’s what treating yourself pretty looks like in real life.
But now, let’s talk about the heart of today’s episode: hiring a coach—and how it’s completely changed my life.
Let me be real with you. My last check-in was Tuesday—and it was my worst one to date.
I didn’t hit my macros right. I had three meals out instead of my one planned free meal. I missed a lift. And my coach? She gave me some tough love. Not because she was mad—but because she’s invested in me. Because I asked for this level of accountability.
And I needed it.
I hired her for a reason—I wanted to be called forward, not comforted. I wanted someone who could help me build discipline in a way that felt honest, sustainable, and healing.
But before we ever got into the deficit, I told her something important. I said:
“I’ve been binge-free for 3 years.
I’ve done the work to heal.
And I want to make sure I stay binge-free.”
She heard me. And she said something that shifted everything:
“Most of my clients actually end up with a healthier relationship with food… because we collect so much data, and we use it to understand how food makes you feel in your body.”
That’s when I knew I was in the right hands.
She didn’t throw me into a deficit. Instead, she had me track for two full weeks—just collecting data. Then we went into maintenance for a few weeks. That slow build gave me time to reflect, to practice, to ease into the habit of hitting my macros.
She even asked me how I felt about starting a deficit before we did. That level of care? Of consent? Of emotional awareness?
Unmatched.
I told her: this is the healthiest I have ever entered a deficit.
Because I’ve done the work. I’m not chasing skinny—I’m creating alignment.
✨ I’ve made peace with my body.
✨ I haven’t binged in 3 years.
✨ I’ve tracked for 70+ days straight—honestly.
✨ I can step on the scale and see data, not drama.
✨ I have structure, not obsession.
✨ I’ve built the habits I always wished I had.
And now? I'm 5 weeks into the calorie deficit. I’ve hit my steps daily. I’ve lifted 4x/week. I’ve done my two cardio sessions. I’ve hit my macros. And I’ve been brutally honest about it all.
Since my tough check-in?
🔥 Macros—hit. Every single day.
🔥 One free meal—Chick-fil-A.
🔥 New low on the scale—9 pounds down.
🔥 No binges. No shame.
🔥 Just consistent, aligned, empowered effort.
And the best part? It feels good.
I’m becoming the woman I always dreamed of being. The woman who shows up, who chooses what’s good for her, who leads with grace and grit.
That’s the entire reason I’m building the Treat Yourself Pretty Product Suite—a full offering of tools, programs, and challenges to help you become that woman, too.
